SC050-120 configurable dig out

I see in the datasheet for the SC050-120 controller that the 6 DigOuts are configurable between sink/source. I have not been able to find where I can ensure that they are set to sourcing. Has anyone done this before? I searched the template and didn't find a setting there.

I see the datasheet is dated 2014, so I am also wondering if that is out of date. If that is the case, are the dig outs "sourcing only" similar to the MC050-110?

Hi Jake,

That's set in the outputs page for the individual output pin.

Also MC050-110 can be configured as sinking or sourcing too!

Hi John,

Thank you for the reply. The pins of concern for me are 33-38 DigOut only. Since the datasheet states 6 DigOut configurable as Sink/Source and 8 PWM, and there is a total of 14 outputs, I assumed the datasheet was talking about the 6 DigOut only pins were configurable. I am using the PWM capability of pins 39-46.

My misunderstanding! I'd say the brochure must be a miss-print as the digital outputs are definitely sourcing only.

Hi guys!

I can confirm the data sheet for SC050-120 is incorrect in that the 6 digital outputs would be configurable for both source and sink. C1P33-38 are digital outputs, source only. I have reported this and my hopes are there will be an updated data sheet for next release of HWD.

The error is only valid in the data sheet that is available from the HWD in PLUS+1 GUIDE. If you search our website you find an updated one;

Thank you for the update, Nilla. I typically use the datasheets that are embedded in PLUS+1 due to convenience. Next time I am unsure of something like this I will cross check between the PLUS+1 datasheet and also what the website has.

I wanted to ensure that the DigOuts were set to sourcing if they were configurable, being that they're not configurable, and they are sourcing, all is well!
