Have you seen this?
https://assets.danfoss.com/documents/406062/AQ485570942933en-000101.pdf

I don't use the RCD430 but remembered seeing this a while back.

Is there any training, "how to" video or example p1p available?

PLUS+1 Service Tool / Re: Scripting through an update!
« Last post by Tor on January 09, 2025, 03:08:11 PM »
Hello Jonas.

There is a possibility to use the lock function (Design>Lock). This will at least hide the Design folder in both modes.    Unfortunately the Document folder is still visible.
The lock function can't be undone, so please create a backup!!

There is no way today to lock this with any script functions.

I think this will be a good feature, so I will add this to the PLUS+1 Wishlist.

PLUS+1 Service Tool / Scripting through an update!
« Last post by Egholm-Jonas on January 07, 2025, 02:59:48 PM »
Hi,

I've tried several methods to ensure our dealers cannot take the wrong path or perform incorrect updates. However, I’ve noticed that if a dealer has a license and opens our application in design mode, they still have access to documents, resources and system navigator. :o

Is there a function I can call from the script to put their service tool into 'RUN mode' when eg. the '_ServiceTool_AfterFileOpen' function has been called?

Best regards,
Jonas

General controls / Re: How to save a STRING to NV?
« Last post by acmall on January 07, 2025, 08:55:14 AM »
String is supported as a data type for NV memory since Guide 2024.1.

From the release notes: -

[P1TOOL-2393] Feature:
Support for U64/S64/F64/F32 data types in non-volatile memory and Diagnostic components. (W00650)
Support for strings and arrays in non-volatile memory (W00026, W00046, W01529).
The Cloud component group is now available for being used also on hardware without Cloud support as long as the Cloud enable property is set to False (F), and now support the new types as well. (W01400).
Use the Cloud Set Value and Set Pulse components if you need Namespace support for Set Value or Set Pulse (W01409, W00037, W00440)
All Checkpoint components now support the string data type (W00638).
New types also supported as Module signals.
Access to the typed Hardware and Module input components has been restored in the Component Tab (W00254, W00129, P100006877).

If these new features are used, GUIDE will generate a P1LHX output file instead of an LHX file. (Requires a new Service Tool version to download.

I would also like to store a String in NV.

I want to store an alphanumeric serial number to my controllers.  Not being able to save strings to the controller is very limiting.

Code sharing / Re: Reviewers and remote troubleshooting

Shoot me a message, I'm personally always keen to see others GUIDE code architecture.

Regarding troubleshooting techs, I/we can help in the Australian time zone.

Code sharing / Reviewers and remote troubleshooting
« Last post by Mike AA on December 20, 2024, 04:00:21 PM »
Hi All,

My company is looking to try something out a little different. I am looking to have some people available that might be willing to look through my code and both give me sugestions to make things better and suggestions on what they would have done for a particular situation. I have no less than 6 programs, upto 25+ that I would like to share with a few individuals. What I am looking for is if I have a function, not nessisarily doing math but handling how things switch around or how memory or NV memory functions are running, possibly making things simpler, more straitforward, easier to troubleshoot, look for bugs like signed where unsigned should be or unsigned where signed should be etc.

I am also, looking to have some persons that might be available to act as, remote trouble shooters. Meaning, we work all around North America, soon to be Australia and potentially elsewhere. We operate our own machines that we make but there may be some scenarios where someone on the opposite side of the world needs help and its 3 am back home. I currently don't do much trouble shooting for coding but it is there everyonce in a while and somethings just make you want to pull your hair out because it doesn't make sense.

If anyone is interested please PM me or leave a comment. I try to get back to the forums a few times a week but dont always make it back to make a reply in time. Oh, we can pay you too for services rendered. I'm not asking to spend your qulaity free time without getting compensated.

Thanks,
Mike

I/O Modules / Re: IOX012-010 vs IOX012-110
« Last post by G30RG3 on December 17, 2024, 01:34:25 PM »
I'm not the programmer, I just need to offer a replacement IOX. I expect the software to be ancient because the other hardware components(screen and µ-CTRL) are both obsoleted a few years ago.
The remaining value of the machine is low, so reprogramming and replacing all hardware is too expensive.

Function Library / Problem with Widget library
« Last post by samuelhj on December 15, 2024, 06:04:17 PM »
Hello.

Been a while since I had to program a display, but I'm running into two seperate issues.
Display type: DM430E 0-1-X-X series.
Guide version 2024.4.3

If I add a gauge, adjust parameters, and try to compile I get compiler error.
See attached screenshots.

Another strange issue I noticed, linear gauges do not even fit the display, but since I've never used them, I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour?
