Hardware configuration (EDS file)
(1/1)
Daan:
Good afternoon everyone!
I can no longer open the hardware configurations in PLUS+1 Guide.
This used to be under tools if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case with me.
I can't find it in the project explorer either.
I also read that the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+shift+H could be used but this doesn't work either.
I updated everything again via the update center but this did not change anything.
I have to be in my hardware configurations to be able to retrieve my EDS file.
Does anyone know a solution for this?
Thank you in advance
Tor:
Hello Daan,
I don't know what you mean with this "hardware configuration in PLUS+1 GUIDE"?
I can't find anything about this in any of the User Manuals for the tools. Where did you read that the shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+H" activated this?
The items with "Hardware" in the name is the Hardware tab in the selector pop out. Install/Uninstall Hardware in the Setup drop down. There may be more that I forgot.
Do you have more information?
Have a nice day.
Daan:
Good morning Tor
I must have been mistaken then. I just found the keyboard shortcut somewhere on the internet after a long search. This must have been incorrect information. However, I am still looking for how to export an EDS file from within the program.
Thanks for the answer!

What is an EDF file?

EDS files are simple text files used by network configuration tools to help you identify products and easily commission them on a network.
But since I can't really find anything about this in PLUS+1 Guide I'm probably going to have to hardcode it.
Hopefully you now understand what I mean by an EDS file. :)
Update: My mistake, it's an EDS file
