PLUS+1 Developer's Conference this year?
« on: January 04, 2019, 06:09:19 PM »
Are you guys doing a developer's conference this year?  2015 and 2017 were excellent and good for learning about new products as well as getting new developers familiar with Danfoss.  I hear there's at least one new important product line available for discussion.  Anyway, we need to use our training budget.

H guys!

There will be a conference this year, 2019, in October but there are no specific dates or locations set yet.

Best regards

Nilla,

Should we expect the same April/May timeline for the location and date to be set?

Thank you!

That's a bummer. Was it just due to logistics or lack of interest?

Hi bwilson0523.

Danfoss is actually planning for a bigger event and with a wider scope for the DEvelopers Conference.
The audience are as before developers, but we now also would like to invite for a Sales training track as well as a principals conference track.
To plan and perform this bigger event we need to postpone the Developers Conference to 2020.
So, it’s definitely not a lack of interest that cause the delay.

Hi Jonas,

Glad to hear it is being moved because it is growing in scope and size! The developer's conference seemed pretty popular in 2017, so I would have been surprised if the interest dropped off that drastically, but you never know.

Since we are an OEM that does our programming in house does this mean we will get exposed to a few more products than we would at a previous developer's conference?

Thank you!

Hi.
Well, we in our section of Danfoss, we are focused around PLUS+1 software,
so there will be some news about software products and probably some new hardware stuff,
but I am not the right person to tell what will be available for us to show.
