Servo Valve requiring +/- 15v
« on: December 11, 2017, 04:13:22 PM »
Hello,

I would like to try using a Servo Valve in our application for better spool response time and accuracy. Our application requires very swift and accurate movement (move traverse 5-6 ft., over and back in roughly 2 seconds).

I have yet to find a servo valve that does not have an input signal of +/- 15v, which I am pretty sure a Plus+1 Controller is not capable of.

Has anyone controlled a Servo Valve (or something similar) with a Plus+1 Controller?

Is there external hardware I can incorporate to make this happen?

Thanks,

Jake

Hello,

I think the only thing you can do is to find a servo valve with a CAN interface.

Or, you could try using the Hbridge Output (eg: MC050-110, C1-P42 & C1-P43, OutputMode = 8 ).  I've used it to drive +/-10Vdc, so it should work for +/-15Vdc.
