Hey gurus,
If someone was to use the Monitor (say DP700) in a portrait orientation, this would need the ability to rotate the text fields 90°
Without rendering the text to an image and rotating that, I can't see how this can be done. It would be nice to have a rotation field on the text boxes, you could then create some cool rotation effects :)
Cheers.
John.

Hello John
To use the DP700 in a portrait orientation, Do the following:
1) Make sure that you are using a recent HWD for your DP700 display (in this example version 140 was used)
2) Select the ScreenDef
3) In the inspector, select a Rotation value of 90 (or 270) degrees
4) Add texts to your screens as you normally would, see attached example screenshot.
Best regards
Daniel

Very nice.
In classic screen editor (DP610TM) not possible?
OK, I don't need this feature.

Ahh!
Thanks Daniel :)

Is it also possible to have a normal landscape orientation and one text is rotated to 90° ?

Hi Marbek!
I'm sorry but we don't support rotation of texts. In that case you'll have to use a image of the text which is possible to rotate.

I've never done it, but you could easily create a widget with your text being a screen definition with a 90º rotation and integrate it to your normal screen

I wish more replies were this concise. I particularly appreciate the screenshot - makes things a lot easier for people like me. Thanks for taking the time to post!
