Title: PVEA-CI / PVEO-CI and GUIDE
Post by: muldo on January 16, 2018, 07:53:08 PM
Hi folks;

I'm not seeing anything in Guide (newest version, all updates current) regarding the CAN controlled actuators for PVG16, the PVEA-CI and PVEO-CI. No function block, no hwd files, nothing. How are these implemented? Generic CAN messaging?

Thanks!!

Mike

Hello,

they use the same messages (AVC & AVEF) as the PVED CC.
I have never tried it but I think it should work with the PVED CC compliance block.

Hi guys!

It is possible to use another existing block that also uses J1939/CAN protocol in combination with PVE-CI. The features is of course not exactly the same available in the PVE-CI version but these can just be ignored - PVEO-CI doesn’t have a position sensor so this should also be ignored.

There is a plan to release these compliance blocks for PVG16 but at the moment I don't have a timing for that.

Best regards
