Title: Eaton CAN Switches
Post by: thatoneguy on November 18, 2013, 06:12:15 PM
Hello All,

Still a newbie.. but have learned a lot...What I am working on now is setting up a set of Eaton CAN Pads (Switches) and I am having trouble on starting... I have no idea where to start. There's not a block that I know of, so I will need to set up all the CAN Signal and outputs etc..If anyone could help me start off in the right direction I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks

Hi.

Connect the device to the BUS and monitor the CAN messages via PLUS+1 CANking.
Add the CAN message structure to your P1P project.

regards Neil.

I also can't figure out how to use these Eaton E31 button panels.  Is anyone who is using these willing to share some example code?

If they were preprogrammed with address read, write, set up can rec, trxmit.  Get data from can king, as advised above, as you select each button. Then hone your can data to reflect signals.

Send data from can king to fire the status lamps behind each button.   A good excerise in data stuff.

Good luck.
