    • When do we get to eliminate or resize the page bounding box?

Agreed with Oiltronic's views - especially this one.  In most of my subroutines I end up outright ignoring the arbitrary bounding box.  To date I've never had a customer who insisted on the program being printed out.

Noticed on a page that was overflowing that if I moved the entire code outside the page border, leaving the page and entering again centers on where the code is, not on where the page is. So just by drawing your program off in random space you can in essence eliminate the page border. I was pretty annoyed at the fact that I couldn't read my code because of the page border bleeding through... The ability to just turn it off would still be nice.[/list]

    Hi,

Some pro and cons with the new version of GUIDE

    PRO
GUIDE starts much faster then the previous versions.
    I like the dark theme.
I have no problem with the new black and white icons.

    CONS
    ServiceTool
The ”Remote Connection driver” for the telematics solution does not look good with the dark theme and it also have some graphical issues with the light theme.

    GUIDE
The program feels much slower then with previous versions
For example when I work with larger programs and I connect a wire or a bus it can take up to 5 seconds before the ”Connect to bus” window appears
Also when I move a block, GUIDE freezes for 3-5 seconds.

Is there maybe any setting in GUIDE to avoid the the problem above?
I tried to disable the Undo/Redo setting but that did not helped much.

The program runs on a 73% full SC050.

    Hi Gregbosma!

I haven't had much time to look into GUIDE yet, but I just took a look at Service Tool 12.0.6 and there's one big flaw...

Looks like BOOL elements on ServiceTool's graphical overviews are no longer colored red or green... this will be a huge problem. I have several .p1d files written where the BOOL elements help immediately identify a fault by showing a bit of red in a sea of green icons, but now we need to try noticing the word "OFF" in a sea of the word "ON". Also, just this week I had to video chat with one of our field techs. As shown in the attached screenshot, it's pretty easy to see the red or green icons from a blurry phone screen. Imagine trying to read from that phone screen without red/green fill colors...

I imagine Danfoss did the graphical update to accommodate colorblindness... If this is the case, there are other options I'd suggest:
    • Configurable setting for turning on/off "colorblind mode"
    • Instead of red/green fill, use black/white fill for BOOL icons (fill black w/ white text for "ON", fill white with black text for "OFF")

Overall, I can get used to the black-and-white toolbar icons, but taking away the BOOL icon's red/green fill colors is unacceptable.

The issue with the BOOL components has been reported as a defect.

    Best regards

I can't add anything here that hasn't already been said, but hopefully numbers count so here's my input.

My first thoughts was that there was a graphical glitch as GUIDE turned dark and lost it's colours.  Nilla informed me it was no error, it was intentional!  I was so put off that I'll stay with V11 until the colours and clarity return or I'm forced to update.  I did wonder whether I had just got too used to the way it looked, but I found it reassuring that I was not alone.

As for multi-line text editing...PLEASE PLEASE add this.  Single line text it so awkward to write lengthy notes in the code I simply don't bother or keep it to a minimum which is a real pain when someone else comes to understand my code.

I'm going to avoid looking for the positive so I avoid the decision or whether to switch to V12 or not.  Without knowing the Pro's it's a no brainer, V11 wins for me.

I am still working with Guide 11,1,5, because 11.1.6 is not OK and
contrast in 12.0.6 was not OK.

Now, there is a new version 12.0.7:

Is there a possibility to get the same screen layout as in version 11?
Where are the options to choose the screen layout asi n version 11?
