One way is to send a custom CAN message from the screen to the other controller, and put status flags or an error code number in the message.

Hello Campodavila,

can you please explain better your issue?

Do you maybe mean your display get stuck beacuse a controller connected to it?

If the answer is yes, I got the same problem and not yet figure out how is possible...

Let me know

Cristian

Can you explain this a bit more?  Do you mean that a display appeared to freeze, crash, ignore CAN messages, or something else?  And what do you mean by "connect"?  Electrically added to the same CAN bus, sending any CAN message, etc?
