OX2410 mass programming
« on: September 27, 2011, 02:24:00 PM »
We going into production on some machines that use OX2410's and would like to have a simpler way to preprogram our output modules addresses. Going in and modifying the node through the diagnostic file is a little more than we want to task to our production folks.

Is there a way we can just download a P1T into an output module to change the address, or anyway to save the setup as a single file like this that can just be dropped in?

Hello,

You can make your settings and then save these as a P1D-file.

Best regards

How could you use this to mass program IO module addresses?
The P1D only sets up the parameters you can access,
it doesn't actually modify them without user interaction...does it???

Hello

Assuming you are make no other changes inside the expansion module, it’s my understanding you can you the CAN shield input C1P05, the expansion module will set its own Id, although I have not used this configuration myself.
Expansion modules from the factory are already preset set to this address mode.

Sure but it's not a permanent ID right?
How does this help with mass programming?
I don't think relying on the wire harness to provide a consistant analog voltage on the machine is very robust.
