IX 024 lockups

After some more testing it looks like even if I drive all the inputs with the 5V out it's not reliable and will still lock up after engine start pretty regularly. For now I'll add an extra relay and drive it from the master when I see engine speed.
Pretty annoying though, I'm probably just going to design this thing out.

Marbek_Elektronik:
Sorry, but why does Sauer Danfoss not solve this problem for future IX024?
It is no problem to start a controller, if the inputs are high.
There must be a design error.
I think the inputs power up the intern controller by diodes inside the controller.
So they have to do changes in hardware!

I hope, they will do so and it would be nice to get information about this changes.

A year later, I am having the same problem.  I can not rewire the system now as it is in a mine down 3000 ft.

Each time the machine starts, two other modules, and the controller stay powered up.

I wish there was a similar module that could quickly replace it. :(

Marbek_Elektronik:
The only workaround is to power the IX024 prior to the inputs.
Use a relay to switch the power for the inputs after switching on the IX024.
You can use the 5V output voltage to switch this relay.
It is a shame that Sauer-Danfoss don't bring a update of this controller or
don't tell us when an update will realized.
