Cant Find a Diagnostic Application File
« on: December 20, 2017, 10:56:05 PM »
I've downloaded my program into a MC050-110, and its working properly, but for some reason I cant find a diagnostic application file (.P1D) for it. I believe it should be located with the hardware files, but I cant find it listed anywhere. What am I missing here? I want to monitor values with the service tool. Ive don't this dozens of times, but rarely do I need to setup a new diagnostic file.

Thanks, James

Hi James!

There is a function called Automatically generate Service Tool Diagnostic application file (P1D) on compile which can be found in GUIDE under Setup -> Options -> Compilation. It requires a Professional license (also Trial works). Check that box and a .P1D will automatically be generated at compile and be shown in the project manager on your left. Of course it can also be found in your project folder.

Follow the steps;

1. Compile application which automatically generates a .LHX and .P1D
2. Download .LHX to hardware
3. Open the .P1D
4. After download you need to Select ECU

I hope this helps!
