Title: quad count, max freq
Post by: pinias on January 25, 2018, 02:51:02 PM
Hello Guys,

as per API for controllers the maximum frequency when using quad count will be 5000 hz.  at least on all standard controllers.

my problem is that in my aplication I need more than that. 6000 hz to be specific.

is any controller that could handle that? I have seen that the SC version could output 20Khz in PWM, I wonder if it could have a freq in of up to 20Khz too.

thanks for the reply

Regards

Hi Pinias,

Sorry I cant really help you there, the API for the SC050 reads "Note: with some frequency measurements (elements: .Quad-Count and .Phase) the maximum frequency is 4000 Hz"

Have you thought of changing the encoder type to a CAN bus version?

John.
