New Line in Text Box
« on: February 09, 2022, 06:25:33 PM »
I feel like I am missing something simple but I can't find the answer.

I started using the Text boxes for long comments in my code.  How do you add a new line? If I just hit enter the OK box takes the keystroke and closes the dialog box.  I tried "/n" and that doesn't work.  I went with the standard MS Excel keystroke of Alt+Enter and that doesn't work either.  I have resorted to opening  a copy of notepad and I copy a newline from notepad and paste it when I want to add one.  There has to be a better way.

Does anybody know the keystroke for newline in the text box?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

I believer this is a bug... It worked on the previous version of Guide.
Now if you hit enter the box closes, when you open it again you can use the arrow one line down. If you need more lines you can repeat the process :)

Hello BrianF,

"Shift+Enter" creates a new line in the text box in PLUS+1 GUIDE 2021.2.5.

This seems to be a bug. In PLUS+1 GUIDE 12.2 and 2021.1 it is only the "Enter" key, and I can't find anything in the release notes that this has been changed.
I will report this to the developer.

Thanks for letting us know.

Have a nice day.

NOTE: I saw that sverreo was faster than me.   :)
Best regards,
