Comparing colours
« on: January 23, 2018, 04:44:09 AM »
Hi people,

I have come across errors trying to determine which colour was used for a component.  It turns out that the equal function does not like comparing 2 colours.  I tried to change the colours to U32 (as that's what they essentially are) but the retype also threw an error.

Not that this is a biggie, just wanted to know is this a known thing?

The error is:
*** ERROR 22 *** [CHPARGU2] ILLEGAL TYPE: {CCOLOR} ON COMPONENT: {Equal}, ENTRY A{1}

This is on a DP720 in GUIDE 10.0

Cheers,

John.

Hi John!

I'm sorry but the EQUAL component is not to be used for Data Type COLOR, only for INTEGER. See attached cut out from the Help manual (found by highlighting the component and clicking F1) for more information.
