DM430 new hardware file
« on: January 27, 2022, 12:43:27 PM »
Update Center recently downloaded a new hardware file for the DM430, ver:70507693v100.  What's the difference between this and the hardware file I'm currently using, ver:70298395v150?  There's nothing in the revision history and they appear to be for the same display.

Hello dlewis,

This was actually news to me.
After asking around the new HWD is a legacy HWD that are able to handle the old screen editor as well as the new. This to make the migration from old DP2x0 projects to the DM430 easier.  There might be other differences as well.

The lack of information in the documentation is reported, and I understand that this will be updated as soon as possible.

Have a nice day.
Best regards,

Should we expect to see an obsolescence notification on the DP2X0 series in the near future?  I have a lot of units in the field running on DP250s...

According to a PIB from Danfoss, the DP250 entered legacy status in February 2019, with inventory expected to last 2-3 years at that time. Hard to say when they will officially be out but I would plan on it being soon.
