Title: Toggle between Screen Area Pages
Post by: bgtwuk on November 14, 2010, 02:29:14 PM

Good Morning

I am new at this of course. I have two screen area pages, and am trying to select between them with a soft button.

I have an enable port for each page, that I believe should have the proper affect.

Am using a simple switch but my pages are not toggling properly.

The fog is thick up here eh!

Hi!

Have you connected your enabling signal inside the Area? It is very easy to forget.

Hi,
I have another question about toggling area pages:

I have a program with very much area pages.
Now, I have to add a new area page which can be placed everytime and everywhere on display.
It is a "help-screen".

My question:
Is it OK to switch on this new area page and it will appear in front of all other areas?
If I switch off this help-menue it will disappear and the screen is as it was before this action.

Is there a rule like: The last area wins?

Hi Bernd

Yes that is correct.
And the last area of the enabled areas wins.

Best regards

Thanks,
but one question about Thomas' two linked area pages from NOv. 15 2010:

Does it work if they are linked?
If I copy an area page and don't delete the linking of them, the compiler produces an error.

Is it possible to copy area pages and link them?
I think, there would be a problem, if you want to assign a screen page to one of them, because they have the same name.....
I'm working now with Guide 5.0.8 .
