Mobile machines runs a lot of hours, much more than cars.
So, they need a lot of diesel. And we could save 10% to 50% of it!
We should optimize this machines by building parallel or serial hybrids or electric only systems.
So , we need electric motors, batteries, inverters and of course diesel engines, which are optimized for running at low speed.

What is danfoss doing to achieve this goal?
Do they have electic motors, inverters in their product list?

There will be a change. Maybe we don't need a hydrostat, but we need a hybrid driving system.

Does anyone knows what danfoss will provide?

Hi Bernd

It is an interesting question you bring up. There is indeed a lot of things going on around this on the market today and Danfoss is of course following the trends closely.
I believe it is hard to give a more specific answer to this topic more than saying there is work going on in this area also in Danfoss.
Different machines have different needs and hence different solutions, based on type of application, power, etc. The best would probably be to talk to your Danfoss sales representative to discuss solutions and future plans regarding the specific application you currently work on. They have the best knowledge of the energy efficient solutions available already today and can also tell more about what is in the scope for the future.

But for sure, Danfoss will be there and provide solutions also tomorrow.

Best Regards
Daniel

I am sure, there will be new possibilities to drive pumps,
because electric motors are very dynamically.
You can change the speed of it very fast and only drive the speed you need.
Perhaps there will be lower cost in hydraulic and lower energy to drive the machine.
