Trimble DGPS to CAN
« on: May 15, 2021, 12:37:12 AM »
Does anyone have experience interfacing a Trimble DGPS (no specific model info) to CAN so that a PLUS1 controller can see the coordinates?  It looks like these DGPS usually have a RS-232 interface.  Any recommendations on converters?  Maybe a small PLC with a custom conversion program?  Maybe a magic box that does it all seamlessly?

Any thoughts on if a CS100 can be used instead with similar accuracy levels to the Trimble DGPS?

Hi Tom,

Regarding your second question, about the CS100. I have asked the developers about its accuracy, and I hope I'll get a reply soon.

Have a nice day.
