Search function?

Is there a way to non-manually search through a project for anything?
e.g.
- I want to find a checkpoint I've labelled "CP_SpeedSensorVoltage_Smoothed".
- I want to search for instances of a component I've used, such as finding all Modulos.
Right now, the only way that I know of to find things, is to manually search through your entire project, page by page.

This is just a thought.
Print your project to a pdf, and then search that document.

I havent tried, but it might work.

  Now I have tried this, but its not possible to search the document.
  I used CutePDF writer, maybe its different for other writers.
  However it is faster to view all the pages, when its in a pdf-document.

Re-enter the CP somewhere in your project and compile, you will be able to find the two CP with the same name from the error list.
A bit long winded I know, a decent search tool per component used in a P1P would be useful.

Hello Jakob, Neil and ET. In case of trying to find a Non volatile memory variable created by us I didn´t find a tool like this. The PDF find tool is clever!
However, there is a quite hidden tool (in evaluation) that I`ve found and is a lot usefull for the common declared variables in our projects.
In our opened proyect, display the menu (click on scroll mouse) an put the selector in "Asign" then you will find in "search" a function to link to Icon. A warging sgn of SD displays letting you know that it`s a evaluation tool. Then (if wanted ) you can assign an icon.

And that`s all. You can make a " *myvar* " search and you will have a list of all the variables named with this range in the proyect.

This is a very useful tool!
It ought to be on one of the menus or icon/tool-bars by default.

Yes, it is a very useful tool!
But it is not implemented as default tool yet.
I hope soon, because I am afraid of damaging my software by using non default tools.

And it takes wildcards like '*', for example, to find all signal names starting with "Motor" enter "Motor*".  Otherwise you need to enter the complete name.
