I haven't yet used GUIDE (training next month), so I don't know the extent of the seemingly new structured text POU functionality. Does it largely replace the need for injecting in custom C/C++ libraries via CCPs?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,
Yes and no; while there is some overlap between the two features, their main purposes are different:
- The main purpose of being able to import C libraries via CCPs is to be able to reuse legacy C code.
- The main purpose of being able to write Structured Text code in GUIDE is to allow use of industry standard code for PLC programming.
Currently, if there is a need for text based code in GUIDE, then Structured Text is the preferred and easiest method to use.
Best regards
Daniel
