FreqIN-Pin, max. 1kHz, 12Volt, How to configure?
« on: November 03, 2014, 12:49:31 PM »
Hi,

Hardware is MC024-010,
we want to count pulses at the pin c2p06.

We have a signal, which is 0V or 12V, frequence is at maximum 1kHz.
The API tells me, I have to set PinConfig1 to 0 and not to 2, because of the
high theshold of 26,8V (which is in all cases to high!)

Is there a dangerous of being defected if there is 12V at c2p06, if it is
configured to max 5.25Volt?

Have you allready measured frequency - signals more then 5V ?

This tells the API to me:

.PinConfig1 U16 Write Config
0 = 0.5.25 Volt range (middle range)
Thresholds when measuring frequency:
Rising Min/Max 2.73V/3.99V
Falling Min/Max 0.96V/2.68V
1 = 0.0.3675 Volt range (low range)
Thresholds when measuring frequency:
Rising Min/Max 0.191V/0.279V
Falling Min/Max 0.067V/0.187V
2 = 0.35.3 Volt range (high range)
Thresholds when measuring frequency:
Rising Min/Max 18.3V/26.8V
Falling Min/Max 6.50V/18.0V

Danfoss has answered me:

"No, there is no risk. It's only the range of .Volt  that is changed."

Great to see a question answered before I get to ask it myself again! :)
