Value connect with string data type
« on: December 25, 2021, 04:25:00 PM »
Hi,

I was trying to make an alarm block pushing some text to the screen on an input trigger.
The trigger and alarmtext are both inputs.

Now I notice that the value connect block is not possible to use with STRING data type. Using the switch function to put in the new value is not an option.
This gives me the "outputs connected on component" error which you don't have using value connect.

Somebody did this before or knows how to work around this problem?

Greetings,

Use a text list in the screen editor and use the value connect to change the list var number.
