PLUS+1 GUIDE / Re: New Line in Text Box
« Last post by sverreo on February 10, 2022, 07:22:14 AM »
I believer this is a bug... It worked on the previous version of Guide.
Now if you hit enter the box closes, when you open it again you can use the arrow one line down. If you need more lines you can repeat the process :)
PLUS+1 GUIDE / New Line in Text Box

I feel like I am missing something simple but I can't find the answer.

I started using the Text boxes for long comments in my code.  How do you add a new line? If I just hit enter the OK box takes the keystroke and closes the dialog box.  I tried "/n" and that doesn't work.  I went with the standard MS Excel keystroke of Alt+Enter and that doesn't work either.  I have resorted to opening  a copy of notepad and I copy a newline from notepad and paste it when I want to add one.  There has to be a better way.

Does anybody know the keystroke for newline in the text box?

Thanks in advance,

PLUS+1 Service Tool / Re: *.p1log-journal filename extension

Hi gregbosma,

Sorry about the late response, but I saw that you got help from the PLUS+1 Helpdesk.
I thought I write something here as well if someone else run into this.

According to the developers the ".p1log-journal" is a temporary file and cannot be opened by PLUS+1 Service Tool. The actual log file always have the ".p1log" extension.
I guess something went wrong during the log and a ".p1log" file wasn't created.

Have a nice day.
Displays / Re: Signal Type Mismatch for HMIs

The input type for the screen definition can be changed in the Screen Editor. In the Screen Manager window scroll down to the bottom where you will find Input and Output. Expand Input and select the input you want to change then change the type in the inspector.

If the Screen Manager window is not visible you can show it using the icon circled in the attached image.
Displays / Signal Type Mismatch for HMIs

I have a number of signals coming into an HMI / DM430.  I often get messages like the following:

[CHPARGU1] Type mismatch: Signal {Input.Eng0.Eng0_CoolTemp_110} has type {S16} in the drawing and type {S8} in the {Screen Definition} interface

I am deleting / re creating text definitions to try and fix it - The tags are simply received via CAN and displayed on a screen. How are the tags defined in the text definition?  The tags that are coming in are S16.  Not used anywhere else in the program.

PLUS+1 Service Tool / *.p1log-journal filename extension
« Last post by gregbosma on January 31, 2022, 03:36:59 PM »
A service tech sent me a Plus+1 log file with the filename extension ".p1log-journal" and I'm unable to open it using Plus+1 Service Tool.  Until now, every log file I've received had a ".p1log" filename extension, without the "-journal" added onto it. How can I get this ".p1log-journal" file open and look at data?

In the program you posted you have connected the input form the IO module C1p09 to a CAN transmit message with ID 0x200 that you are transmitting on CAN_1. You have C1p37 connected to a CAN receive message with ID 0x200 also on CAN_1. This will not work as you can not transmit a message and simultaneously receive it on the same CAN port.

To have C1p37 go high in response to an input on the IO module C1p09 you just need to connect the DigIn from C1p09 on the IO module to the DigOut of C1p37.

Can you confirm that per Marbek's image you set Address Mode to 1 and set the N1 value to 0?

What are the two LED's doing on your IO module?  Both should be blinking rapidly (much faster than 1 Hz).
