Title: High Current Output pin on MC038-018 controller
Post by: power4 on March 06, 2014, 03:34:53 PM
Hi Everyone, in the datasheet of MC038-018, it says HPWMOUT/DOUT(10A) could be used as bi-directional pairs. What does the bi-directional pairs mean? Thanks.

Hi
It means that you can drive an electric output both ways (Sourcing / Sinking), and by having a pair you are able to reverse the polarity.
Very useful for controlling electric actuators and such.

If you set both config to sourcing, the enabled pin will source and the mated (not true) pin will sink.

You must mate with the designated pin.
