It looks like the SPN's from DM01 are not in the J1939 library as I go through the fairly exhaustive list of signals that are in there.  I guess there must be a reason for this, but I don't know what it is.  Is there a reason?

Hello Tom.
I am not sure if there is reason for not have added DM1 to the PLUS+1 Connect, but the mechanism for DM requests are a bit different, so they might not be implemented.
