Hi,
Due to the outcomes of a risk assesment, we have determined that we need to check to see if the primary or the secondary core are responding and functional. My question is do I need to go as far as exchanging an RS232 message between the cores, or can I just do a simple check with the SafetyLayer bus on the signal "Failure" to determine if it's zero or not, then disable outputs based on that?
Has anyone done any examples?
Thanks!
John.
