Controllers / Re: Reading program from controller

Well... thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.

Looks like we'll be stripping anything Danfoss in the future, we have no use for something that can't be modified.

Have a good day

PLUS+1 Compliant Hardware / JS1H-PVE
« Last post by cthomas on Today at 11:49:27 AM »
Hello,

Using +1 GUIDE, I discovered that there is a JS1H_PVE template and also a Service Tool, JS1-H PVE_70201197v105.
However, on JS1H TI, I didn't find any information about the possibilty that programmable JS1H-PVE.

So, my first test to know if we could make specific software for this joystick is to try to flash one empty software on one.
For my test I use one 83069483 - JS1H-XY-PSH-S-NNN-TSP7-U-V1A-NNN-Y1A-Y1A-R1A-NNN-NNN-O1A-NNN-NNN-NNN-%%%-BNKN-NN.
With Service Tool, I could communicate with it and change parameters.
This joystick is flashed with application ID JS1-H_PVE_V115, version 70198078V115

When I try to flash my empty software, I have one message E247 : File not intended for this ECU.
I already checked that fiels "Target part number" and "Target serial number" were empty.

So my questions are :
Could we do a specific software for JS1H_PVE ?
Is there any limit using this joystick like a controller ?
Where could I find the software JS1-H_PVE_V115 to flash it back after my tests ?

Thanks for your help

Hello,

If you are developing your own PLUS+1 Code? Please read the information below:

"For the last years Danfoss has been strongly developing its system simulation and testing capabilities, to make sure whatever the product we provide is fully tested and operating optimally. We have noticed that this knowledge can also be extremely useful for customers that develop their own solutions and don’t want to invest on creating their own simulation platforms or use some external solutions that will most likely not be a perfect fit. Because our customers’ wins are our wins, we are now working on providing these solutions as Testing-as-a-Service so please contact me if you have questions or interest.

They are slightly newer functions, but they are available in version 5.10 of the J1939 Library.
I've attached a small screenshot of the library tab and have added red boxes to highlight the 3 functions I mentioned.

I've also added a little picture example of how the 3 blocks work together.

Thank you very much to answer me.

Thanks

Hi Macbahi,

PGN 65259 is a multipacket message with variable length.

This PGN is available under Bidirectional->TransProtocol_Rx->Parsers, and it is called CI_Parser

To receive and process the message, you'll need three blocks.
1. Req_PGN_Tx: This will be used to request PGN 65259 from the remote device
2. TP_RTS_CTS_Rx: This is used to receive the multipacket messages. It needs to be configured to receive PGN 65259
3. CI_Parser: This block is connected to TP_RTS_CTS_Rx and decodes the message into a nice friendly signal.

There is a small J1939 Example in the update center that shows the CI_Parser, but it is missing the Req_Pgn_Tx function which is needed.

Hi!

I want to use PGN 65259 SPN 588 in order to get engine serial number but I didn't find this function in Danfoss library.

So I must to do any alternative to get it.

I didn't understand:   stat byte = c and length =200 byte  .  Please see the file included.

Please anyone have any ideas what might be the issue?

I will appreciate your collaboration if you have a similar code to share.

Thanks in advance for your help

With best regards

Hi,

I'm sorry, but without the source file, you won't be able to recompile and so switching an output port is not that easy.
The same goes for duplicating the controller: You need at least the compiled software, the parameter settings and passkeys to program and parameterize the controller.
I don't believe there is a way to extract the .LHX (compiled package) or back up the parameters if they're behind a passkey

Controllers / Reading program from controller
« Last post by michaeldostie on May 16, 2022, 06:03:32 PM »
Hi, I am new to Danfoss controllers and I have an issue with a MC-050.

I am very familiar with OMRON and Schneider Momentum PLCs and their programming tools, but can't seem to figure out how to read or write to the Danfoss controller. One of the outputs seem to be burned out and I would like to change the mapping of the controller as I am sure they aren't all used, but I do not have the original programming as it was built by a manufacturer that does not exist anymore. Changing the unit is not a solution I want to explore either as I can't order one from them or get the original programming, and starting from scratch seems pretty ludicrous. In that case I would strip anything danfoss related and replace with what we use elsewhere.

Purchasing a license is not a problem if it is indeed what it takes, as I am guessing you can't do much with the trial version of the plus1 suite, but I want to make sure before buying anything and I am willing to learn how to use these tools. I have the usb modem and am able to connect to the controller via canbus. I see it connected.

I cannot find any relevant documentation or videos online on how to upload whatever is inside, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have a good day
