PLUS+1™ News / Re: Autonomous Control - XM100, XM200, new GUIDE libraries
« Last post by Tor on August 30, 2021, 10:00:24 AM »

The XMX00 controllers are not released yet, and the only information online I found is the Datasheet as you mentioned for XM100:

The Autonomous Control Libraries (ACL) is released and can be found in the PLUS+1 Update Center.  It's not locked to any controller, so feel free to use it.
With that said, I have not tested the ACL in an application, on any controller, so I don't know if there are any differences by using a XMX00 controller or another one.

Have a nice day.
PLUS+1™ News / Re: PLUS+1 Developer's Conference in 2020?

Yes, unfortunately there will be no Face-to-Face Developers Conference this year, and your guess is as good as anyone else's when the next one will be held. But late 2022 seems reasonable.
On the other hand, there are plans to maybe have a Virtual Developers Conference online already this year. I don't know more than that, but there is a high demand, from customers and Danfoss, to arrange this.  More information will come.

In the meantime, you are more than welcome to give us tips and ideas on what topics you may be interested in. Both for the Face-to-Face and the Virtual one.

Have a nice day.

It is a very nice a video that was made for the ACL libraries.  It doesn't mention the XM100 or XM200 controllers.  Are those a released product?  Do they have information anywhere?

OK I found that data sheet on Partnerlink.  It looks like the XM100 includes the inertial sensors used in the EKF algorithm.

My question is whether or not we can use the autonomous control libraries without using the XM100 controller.  I'm envisioning using a high accuracy DGPS for sub-inch accuracy so that we won't need the accelerometers or whatevre is in the XM100.

Well, 2021 is over half way complete, and COVID is still around.  That said, I think we can be confident that late 2022 will be looking much better.  Here's hoping for a big 2022 Developer's Conference.  There are a lot of new PLUS+1 products to show off and discuss!
Displays / Re: DP700 BusOn

Hello macbahi,

When the controller goes to BusOff it tries to reset itself a number of times (5 times is default).
This number can be set in the Unit_Config block in the application template. You can also add a manual reset signal, in addition to the existing one. Read the API before before doing this.

If you don't have a manual reset signal you need to restart the unit.

Have a nice day.

I had BusOff and the red led blinking.
It was done because the can cable was damaged.
I make new cable but the red led stay blinking.

My question is't possible to make BusOn without restart Display.

So, both templates used in the applications I am looking at are older ones that do not have the secondary "RS232" page below the RS232_USB" page which where my confusion was coming from. Makes a lot more sense now that I see the second RS232 page.

I really appreciate the feedback and the example!

I will apologize in advance in case I start asking questions that seem to have obvious answers. With that being said... in the RS232 page you attached, did you create that page and the signals (Baudrate, Stop Bits, TxMsg_Data, etc) or is that info that is already on the RS232 bus? I opened a DP610TM application as well a DP700 application that both have RS232 functions and the RS232 pages in both look identical but I do not see any of those signals on the bus.

As you probably realised RS232_USB is where you need to set the mode of the output pins for RS232. Mode should be 1.

See the attached file. This is the other RS232 page were you do the configuration of the message and send the data. You should be able to ad this in and connect it to the outputs bus. Note this is from a DP720 so I cannot guarantee that it will work with the DP610TM.

Basically steps are: -
  • Set the options for Baudrate, Stop Bits, etc.
  • Create an array that holds the data you want to transmit and connect it to TxMsg_Data
  • Set TxMsg_Len to the length of your array
  • Set TxMsg_Tx to true to send the data

Sorry I don't have an example I can share, I am currently working to a tight deadline on a project.
