Title: Low current draw
Post by: paterianus on January 20, 2011, 10:53:49 PM
I'm getting faults on two digital outputs on a MC50-20 driving IDEC RJ1S-C-D24 relays.  Am I not drawing enough current to let  the controller know its not an open circuit, if so what is the current needed to fake the system?

Look at note 5 on the Application Interface Document for the MC050-20.

Basically you need at least 500mA to guarantee that a open load error will not occur.

1/2 amp, is pretty big draw, not to mention the 12watts.
