Title: SC Manuals?
Post by: turboshad on June 04, 2013, 05:35:26 PM
Are there any manuals demonstrating how to properly use the two processors in the safety controllers? It is my understanding that the primary porcessor is used as your main program and the secondary is intended for I/O checks and error monitoring. Unless I'm missing something it would be nice to have a little guidance on how the designers intended for this to be done and how the two processors relate/talk to each other. Thanks. :)

Hi turboshad

You can find manuals at the SC Controllers website:
http://www.sauer-danfoss.com/Products/MobileElectronics/PLUS1SCControllers/index.htm (http://www.sauer-danfoss.com/Products/MobileElectronics/PLUS1SCControllers/index.htm)

These may give you some better understanding of the total structure.

When it comes to implementation guidance, I would recommend you to sign up for the training course that will start up soon. Beside of this, the course will give you a good total picture of the Functional Safety concept, which also is an important part for the understanding of how to program and how to use the functionalities of the SC.

See functional Safety training site:
