Hi,
I noticed that I'm doing a lot of times a specific set of operations when I'm deleting a signal that is connected to a bus in GUIDE.
Here are some pictures of the process (see joined) :
A : Starting Point
B : After first delete step.
C : After second delete step.
To go from A to C, I do the following steps :
- Press "Delete" button on my keyboard.
- Select the signal lines, signal name and a portion of the bus in the same selecting box.
- In the "Select Item Class" prompt box, I choose "Toggle ON/OFF" and I toggle to OFF the "WireBusSegment". I press OK.
- Select the remaining signal lines in the same selecting box.
First, if there is a faster/easier way to achieve this end result, I would gladly would like to know about it.
Second, to me, I think it would be easier if we could only do a right-click on the junction (where the signal exits from the bus) and simply choose a "Disconnect from bus" option. This would remove the signal name and all the associated signal lines up to the next component connected to this signal line (or up to a junction to another signal line).
Additionnaly, you could do right-click on the signal line and you could choose between 2 options :
1- Unroute this segment : remove only this specific signal line
2- Unroute this signal : remove all signal lines related to this net/signalName
Have a good day!
