Quadrature lost counts

Were using the quadrature inputs of the M50 and are occasionally losing counts.
What is the minimum on/off time for quadrature detection? Are there any known issues with the quadratures?
Do you have any recommondations of things to check?

Yep, looks like it was a problem with the encoder system itself.
Switched encoder and now have no loss.
