Has anyone got an example p1p to successfully drive a series 5 PVED?
I can't even get the green LED to light (PVED is mounted to PVB)

Hety Deaks57

EDS files are simple text files used by network configuration tools to help you identify products and easily commission them on a network.
But since I can't really find anything about this in PLUS+1 Guide I'm probably going to have to hardcode it.

Hopefully you now understand what I mean by an EDS file.  :)

Update: My mistake, it's an EDS file

PLUS+1 GUIDE / Re: CAN communication with Siemens PLC

Good afternoon everyone

After going through everything again, I already understand a bit more about CAN communication, for which I thank you.
But do any of you know the best way to set up the CAN communication?
By this I mean where I have to set something (for example the IDs) to read the data and identify/name it correctly so that both master and slave know what they are communicating about.
This is not really talked about in the Danfoss documents and videos as far as I have found.

I also have a question for you Pinias.
What exactly do you mean by CAN COB ID mapping and how do I do this?
I also wonder why you don't use a block like this one in the attachment.
Does this have a specific reason or is it more of a personal choice?

Thank you in advance!

Good morning Tor

I must have been mistaken then. I just found the keyboard shortcut somewhere on the internet after a long search. This must have been incorrect information. However, I am still looking for how to export an EDS file from within the program.

Thanks for the answer!

Hello Daan,

I don't know what you mean with this "hardware configuration in PLUS+1 GUIDE"?
I can't find anything about this in any of the User Manuals for the tools.  Where did you read that the shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+H" activated this?

The items with "Hardware" in the name is the Hardware tab in the selector pop out. Install/Uninstall Hardware in the Setup drop down.  There may be more that I forgot.

Do you have more information?

Have a nice day.

PLUS+1 GUIDE / Hardware configuration (EDS file)
« Last post by Daan on May 30, 2023, 02:55:48 PM »
Good afternoon everyone!

I can no longer open the hardware configurations in PLUS+1 Guide.
This used to be under tools if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case with me.
I can't find it in the project explorer either.
I also read that the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+shift+H could be used but this doesn't work either.
I updated everything again via the update center but this did not change anything.
I have to be in my hardware configurations to be able to retrieve my EDS file.
Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thank you in advance

PLUS+1 Service Tool / Re: Backup file service tools project
« Last post by acmall on May 30, 2023, 09:00:35 AM »
That option creates a backup of the previous saved version so you always have 2 versions, the current save and the previous save.

If you have it checked you will see an additional file with a tilde symbol in the extension like this: -
MyServiceTool.p1d
MyServiceTool.~pid
The .~pid file is the backup of the previous save. This is a normal Service Tool file, if you want to open it just rename it with a .pid extension.

A similar thing happens with the module files (.scs) in Guide except the tilde is at the start of the filename instead of the extension.
