*.p1d and *.~p1d file
« on: February 02, 2018, 04:00:15 PM »
What is the difference between a *.p1d file and a *.~p1d file? Both seems to be created when I save a P1D file from Service Tool. Can I safely ignore and delete the *.~p1d file?

I just want to keep my things organized and I feel that these *.~p1d files are useless.

Let me know!

Sam

Hi Sam!

Every time you do a save the program checks to see if the file already exists, if so it's renamed to <filename>.~pid and saves it with the previously used filename. If you don't want this behaviour you could turn it off by changing a setting in the Options for Service tool, see attached picture.

I hope this helps!
