Title: Can not use "Design" menu in Service Tool
Post by: power4 on May 29, 2013, 08:31:00 PM
Hi Everyone,

I created an application using GUIDE and tested on a controller. It is OK. Then, I added a checkpoint into the application and downloaded into the hardware. However, when I tried to use the Service Tool to watch the checkpoint or log, I found the "Design" menu is grey and can not open it. So, I must missed something. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

Thanks!

Check under "View" drop down to see if you have "Normal View" ticked. To enter Design edit dialogue, you need to have "Design View" selected.

What was the outcome here? I am having a similar problem on one of our laptops at the moment.

Brian, you can't change it under VIEW because the Design View is greyed out and unselectable.

Hi,
it seems something related to the license. Try to remove it and then add it again!
Bye

Hi

And make sure it is selected to be used in the license manager, and is valid.

Best Regards
