Title: MPCAN Receiver for IK2 Transmitter
Post by: sfl_cntrl on April 08, 2021, 01:10:32 PM
I've downloaded the available documentation for the IK2 transmitter and MPCAN Receiver, and do not find any information on how to interface this device to a controller via CAN bus. Where can I find information on the signals being sent from the IK2 and how this information is framed at the receiving MPCAN?

For example, if I move Joystick A what can I expect to receive at the MPCAN, and is it located at Byte 1, 2, 7 etc?? Is there a CAN database file available for this hardware?

The CAN mapping documentation should have been included with the IK2 and MPCAN system.

Yes the CAN mapping documentation should have been supplied with the RCT system, alternatively you could use CAN king to determine each signal manually.

There is no straight mapping documentation as every system is unique.

Are you using the system with a Danfoss Controller? If so it's much easier to use the PLUS+1 compliance block, although this feature needs to be enabled by whoever supplied the RCT system.
